[Posted on behalf of the Malaysian Bird Report Editorial Committee]
Dear birdwatchers, bird photographers, nature lovers and friends,
We would like to introduce you to the Malaysian Bird Report.
We have all recognised the need to have a Malaysian bird publication to bring together the bird watching community and encourage the documentation of bird ecology; one that offers a vehicle for established and young birdwatchers and photographers to share their field observations and expertise.
Please feel free to download a PDF copy of Volume 1/2023, June 2023 Malaysian Bird Report here (or scan the QR code provided in the photo above).
Both high and low resolution (smaller file size) copies are available, depending on your internet speed.
We would like to thank all individuals who have contributed articles, data, reports and images to this issue of the Malaysian Bird Report.
We encourage you to share the link of the publication freely with all interested birdwatchers, bird photographers, nature lovers and the general public, locally or wider.
We welcome you to contribute articles. The next issue is due in September 2023.
See page 6 which outlines “Contributions to the Malaysian Bird Report” and offers some guidance on this.

Hi Yuchen Ang,
Good to know you are at the helm of the NUS , keeping an eye on the ‘grown up baby ‘ of Bird Ecology of SG. that Prof YCWee have nurtured.
I’ve done my good share of contribution into this website and surely deserve to sit back, read and appreciate the new generation of contributors to whichever bird website they choose to contribute to.
Best wishes to all readers of the past decade.
Thank u for sharing.
Happy reading!

Hi Daisy, you have been a loyal supporter of the Bird Ecology Study Group during its early years when the group was just beginning to post aspects of bird behaviour. Good to hear from you now that our Malaysian counterparts are starting its Malaysian Bird Report in an effort to encourage studies on bird behaviour. YC Wee.
I think I have found a bird species that I haven’t been able to find on the internet. The bird looks a lot like a puffin but is small and does not have webbed feet.
