Juvenile Asian Glossy Starling feeding on Golden Penda flower nectar

So far seven species of birds have been documented feeding on the nectar of the flowers of Golden Penda (Xanthostemon chrysanthus) – see HERE and HERE.

With the documentation of the juvenile Asian Glossy Starling (Aplonis panayensis) feeding on these flowers, the total number is now eight species – not bad for an introduced tree planted along the wayside.
