“The coastal city of Manjung has been inundated by hundreds, if not thousands of House Crow (Corvus splendens protegatus). It is a rapidly growing region, fuelled by tourism. I saw a flock feeding on the fruit of the Oil Palm tree (Elaeis guineensis).

Birds such as crows (Corvus splendens and Corvus macrorhynchus), Indian myna (Acridotheres tristis) and rose-ringed parakeet (Psitticula krameri) are considered as major avian pests of oil palm in India feeding on the mesocarp of fruits.
