Juvenile Spotted Wood-owl casting pellet

posted in: Owls, Pellets, Videography | 1

Jeremiah Loei’s video clip caught a juvenile Spotted Wood-owl (Strix seloputo) casting a pellet. The clip was documented in April 2014 at was Singapore’s Pasir Ris Park. There were earlier posts on pellet casting by adult owls but this is the first time a juvenile owl had been caught on video casting a pellet.

For more information on details of pellets and birds casting pellets, see HERE.
