“The White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) is a very common kingfisher, a few resident in our neighbourhood, It is often seen perched on a branch or wire to forage. The images above show it with a lizard (left) and an insect prey (right).
“Often in the sudden dash down for prey it picks up other debris and then has to slowly work that out without
losing the prey.
