Birds of the Equinox

In Singapore, the equinox falls on Friday 20th March at 7.44 pm. The Birds of the Equinox project covers a 24-hour period from Friday 7.44 am to Saturday 7.44 am.

During this 24-hour period, birdwatchers, bloggers, photographers and nature lovers are urged to write accounts of their interactions with birds. This may come from your encounter with birds in your backyard, outside your office, during a walk in the park or on your way to/from the office. The account can be in the form of a photograph, sketch, prose, poetry or whatever.

Send your submissions to me ([email protected]) for posting in the blog or you can post it in your own website, in which case inform the organiser by 27th March.

A compilation of lists, links, writing, sketches and photographs on the Birds of the Equinox will be posted by the organiser by 5th April.

BESG participated in an earlier Birds of the Solstice and our submissions include:
1. Starlings, Orioles and a Drongo.
2. Birding at Singapore’s Bidadari Cemetery.
3. Calls of the Black-naped Orioles
