\u201cI would like to use this post to make a suggestion based on a number of observations about the feeding behaviour of the Lineated Barbet (Megalaima lineata hodgsoni<\/em>).<\/p>\n \u201cFirstly, the Lineated Barbet is known to take small birds as prey – flowerpecker <\/a> and Eurasian Tree Sparrow<\/a>. Whether this is for self or for chicks we are uncertain (possibly for juveniles).<\/p>\n \u201cI have also recently seen the Crested Goshawk (Accipiter trivirgatus peninsulae<\/em>) furiously chasing a Lineated Barbet with the barbet yelping in terror.
