White-crowned Hornbill

The white-crowned hornbill Berenicornis comatus is also known as the long-crested hornbill or white-crested hornbill. Art Toh and his friends photographed this female hornbill at Chek Jawa, Singapore on 16 April 2023. This hornbill is a denizen of Peninsula Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. The male white-crowned hornbill has white throat and breast feathers, in addition to the white crest. This hornbill is listed as near threatened on the IUCN 2018 red list.
