Scarlet-backed flowerpecker Dicaeum cruentatum

on 29th November 2022

A male scarlet-backed flowerpecker was seen feeding on ripe seeds bursting out of a fruit. Johnny Wee was at Ang Mo Kio Garden West, Singapore on 9 November 2021 when he witnessed the event.

These birds are easy to identify as they emit a clik-clik sound while flitting from plant to plant  to feed.
