A Black-crowned night heron, Nycticorax nycticorax, was spotted overlooking the water at Shanghai Bund Wharf on 31 July 2017.  Wong Kais had the luck to see this bird in Shanghai but not in Singapore. The bird was trying to fish from the edge of the Huangpu River.
