White-rumped Munia – plumage

“A small group of 4 birds, possibly a family unit of White-rumped Munia (Lonchura striata subsquamicollis, is said to be darker above (above) with white streaks and pointed tail feathers (HBW 2018).

“I saw some birds frequently flash the white rump while feeding (below).

“I am not sure if this was in response to concern with my watching (although I could get very close) or some communication with other birds (family or other species)
