Olive-backed Sunbird feeding on Devil’s Backbone flower nectar

“Olive-backed Sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis flammaxillaris) male feeding on one of its favourite household nectar sources, Devil’s Backbone (Pedilanthus tithymaloides, now Euphorbia ithymaloides) (above, below).

“Note the scatter metallic plumage on forehead (above beak) and just behind the eye (now a common finding for me).”
