White-breasted Waterhen – ‘wing moult’

“In October 2017 I posted a White-breasted Waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus phoenicurus) with possible wing moult, see: HERE.

“The general opinion was that it could be due to a disease rather than a moult.

“A few days ago, at the exact same location, I saw pair of adult White-breasted Waterhens one of which had a wing that looked like it was in recovery.

“It could be the same bird I saw in October 2017.

“The shafts of some feathers are clearly visible with new feathers. Good to see the bird make it.”
