Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker: Bad table manners

“The Straits Rhododendron (Melastona malabathricum) is a common wild plant native to Singapore. Besides having rather pretty flowers, its fruits, which are also edible by people, attract many species of birds.

“There is a plant right outside my living room. This Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker (Dicaeum cruentatum) is a frequent visitor. He is a messy eater who does not wipe his beak after meals.
