Mrs Helena Ho spotted four Smooth Otters (Lutrogale perspicillata) in that part of the Singapore River which runs behind the apartments at Kim Seng Road (The Trillium).

Once thought to be extinct, these otters made a comeback in the 1990s LINK.

Well, these otters are all over mainland Singapore now.

These 4 must be part of the Marina Barrage group. This group wanders quite a bit and has been reported clashing with the Bishan Park group at the Kallang River. They were even once spotted at St. Andrews Cathedral grounds.
