“A female Raffles’s Malkoha (Phaenicophaeus chlorophaeus) foraging with other malkoha species, many bulbul species in a mixed species episode (bird wave).”
A bird wave or mixed foraging party is when birds of different species fly through the vegetation together. This disturb insects and other prey thus opening them for easy picking by the birds.
