The Common Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) is a nocturnal animal (above). The adults are usually alone except when the sexes come together to mate and have their litter of 1 to 5 kittens (below).
In urban areas the pair raises their kittens in roof spaces of buildings.
In forest, scrub areas, mangroves and parkland the adult pair raises their kittens in tree hollows and any available sheltered spaces, as seen in the video below, documented at Bidadari.
