“It was a hot afternoon at about 3.35pm on 27 Dec 2015. From my apartment I caught hold of the sight of an Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus coromandus) foraging on the grass slope, where a Clouded Monitor used to roam a few years ago – HERE and HERE.
“During the brief ten minute encounter, it managed to catch a small prey. Without a camera, I would have taken it as another sighting of the Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) as the orange plumage around the neck was not conspicuous under the strong sunlight.
