“This Brown-throated Sunbird (Anthreptes malacensis) fledgling caught my attention when I saw it on a tree calling to its mother and quivering its feathers as it begged to be fed. Mother bird obliged with a mouthful, then flew off. While waiting for its next feed, it helped itself to the nectar in the flowers of the Acacia mangium tree.
