Fire-breasted (Buff-bellied) Flowerpecker – female fruit feeding

posted in: Feeding-plants, Videography | 0

“The female Fire-breasted (Buff-bellied) Flowerpecker (Dicaeum ignipectus dolichorhynchum) came and devoured a number of the berries despite their size.

“I considered the adult Plain Flowerpecker (Dicaeum concolor borneanum) in view of the white pectoral tuft and some contrast with eye ring, but the altitude makes the female Fire-breasted (Buff-bellied) Flowerpecker more likely.

“Opinions welcome. More images available.

“A shaky handheld video attempt below.”
