Juvenile Brown-throated Sunbird

“As a paediatrician I have a special affinity to juvenile birds. In addition, juvenile birds are also curious and allow closer approaches. The Brown-throated Sunbirds (Anthreptes malacensis) in the garden know us quite well and tolerate some degree of long lens photography at close range. This delightful juvenile was documented from our roof.

“Was cheerfully calling out, not so much for food as they usually do, but just for sheer joy.”
