Feral populations of Javan and Common Mynas appearing in Sarawak

posted in: Species | 1

“Feral populations of Javan Mynas (Acridotheres javanicus) and Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) have been slowly growing in this region.

“I worked here in the late 1980s (1988-1991) and remember recording less than 6 pairs of Common Mynas in the city and did not see Javan Mynas.

“Now quite easy to see both.”
