A bat caught in a mist net

posted in: Miscellaneous | 1

Jeffery a.k.a. jkc was photographing birds in a forest in Malaysia when he stumbled across a large expanse of netting. “…I saw something like a spider web and it was huge…”, wrote Jeffery. Then he saw something moving and shaking the web. On closer look he realised that it was a bat that got trapped in the mist net.

Not to worry, the bat will be eventually released as the net was set up by some researchers.

This post is a cooperative effort between NaturePixels.org and BESG to bring the study of bird behaviour through photography to a wider audience.
