Collared Kingfiher: A nesting in the making

Mike Tan stumbled upon a pair of Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris) excavating a cavity in a dead tree stump in February 2009. Obviously he is anticipating the pair to start a family soon.

We are anticipating further observations in the near future.
